Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physics is a clinical group responsible for quality control testing, regulatory compliance, and image quality assessment of diagnostic imaging equipment throughout New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine. This equipment includes radiographic units (mobile and fixed), fluoroscopy units (mobile and fixed), angiography units, and CT scanners.
Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physics also has a significant role in obtaining accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR) for mammography and CT, in addition to accreditation by the Joint Commission regarding radiology physics.
