The Laser Safety Program manages the safety and regulatory compliance of lasers class 3B and higher on campus.
Medical Health Physics must approve all laser orders when purchasing class 3B lasers or higher lasers. When using Weill Business Gateway, the purchase request will be sent automatically to Medical Health Physics for approval.
Class 3B and Class 4 lasers must be registered with Medical Health Physics. If you are commissioning, moving, or renovating a Class 3B or Class 4 laser facility, please contact us for assistance with hazard evaluation and hazard mitigation strategies.
