Radiation protection in molecular imaging and therapeutics, radiation therapy, and diagnostic imaging is concerned with the control of both normal and potential exposure of workers, patients, and the general public in all situations that involve the use of machine produced, unsealed and sealed radiation sources.

- Training staff in the proper handling and documentation of radioactive materials and the safe operation of radiation-producing equipment.
